Hello, I’m Keith — the founder of The Yorkshire Insider and a proud Yorkshireman through and through.

I was born and raised here in God’s Own County, and after a long career in tourism, I realised I wasn’t quite ready to hang up my boots. I’ve spent decades helping people discover the real Yorkshire, and I wanted to keep sharing the places, stories, and experiences that make this county unlike anywhere else. That’s how The Yorkshire Insider began: a way to bring you the Yorkshire I know — the hidden corners, the proper pubs, the landscapes that stop you in your tracks, and the local gems you won’t find in the guidebooks.
